The ride is generally flat as you pass through apple orchards and plentiful opportunities to visit local wineries. Forestville is a great destination with some lovely small shops and restaurants. The Barlow Market District is a lively open-air destination in the heart of Sebastopol, with restaurants, tasting rooms, shops, makers, and local food and drink all within an easy stroll. It’s a great place to start and finish the ride, grab your e-bike at Revel Cycles, head out on the trail, then come back for dinner, wine tasting, shopping, or a relaxed evening in The Barlow.
Stop 1:  Graton (4.4 miles)
Picture
Graton is a charming little West County stop along the route, tucked between Sebastopol and Forestville. Once a historic railroad town, it’s now a relaxed village with local food, cafés, tasting rooms, and plenty of small-town Sonoma County character. It’s a great place to pause, grab a bite or a coffee, and enjoy the slower pace before continuing along the West County Trail.
Stop 2:  Forestville (7.8 miles)
Picture
Forestville makes a great turnaround point on the West County Trail, with a relaxed small-town feel and plenty of reasons to linger before heading back to Sebastopol. Set near the Russian River and surrounded by vineyards, redwoods, and quiet country roads, it’s a natural stop for coffee, lunch, baked goods, or a casual stroll through town. For many riders, Forestville is the perfect reward at the far end of the ride — far enough to feel like a real outing, but easy enough to enjoy at a comfortable e-bike pace.
Additional Stops: Area Wineries

One of the best parts of the Sebastopol-to-Forestville ride is how easily it connects to West County wine country. Along or near the route, riders can build in optional stops at places like Red Car Wine or Char Vale Winery near Sebastopol, Bowman Cellars in Graton, or the Ryme Cellars tasting room near Forestville. For riders planning a fuller day, Iron Horse Vineyards makes a memorable detour, known for sparkling wines, vineyard views, and its Green Valley setting. We recommend checking hours and reservations ahead of time, planning your route carefully, and choosing a rental window that gives you plenty of time to enjoy the ride safely.
